I like "made of win" myself. When I'm feeling particularly pleased with something, I'll say it's made of the purest winidium.

You clearly haven't experienced the horror of "+1" yet. When you do, all the thisses and wins and fails in the world will seem like novels.

Did you make that just for this post? That would make my night. Also, I feel that this does not count as a one-word sentence. They did have to type out an image tag.

I usually reply to people that do that with "It's not an SMS, you have more than 160 characters to play with so if you want me to read your post BLOODY WELL USE THEM".

Actually, per the rules of sentence structure, "win" and "fail" are complete sentences. The "you" as the subject is implied. "This", however, is not a sentence, and people who just use that can firmly be bludgeoned with the nearest heavy object.

Ah, sixth grade grammar and diagramming sentences, I will never forget you.

Oh thank you, thank you, thank you Jeph. Not that I'm not occasionally guilty of things like this, but I do try to sound like I have knowledge of grammar and sentence construction when I write, even if I get it wrong. Well, that and the fact I tend to sound like I'm writing an essay whether I'm writing or speaking.

That being said, I do, in general concur with the statement made in the comic.

Oops.

(Link)

I've definitely done that before... even in real life; not exclusive to the internet. Though, I had no idea what "this" was until I looked it up on urbandictionary.com after reading this wonderful comic.

Nevertheless, I want an icon of the "this" guy's face. That smile is the most adorable thing ever. It is win. (<--- is it still bad for me to say it if it's at the end of a longer comment?)

Anyway, Jeph, you never cease to amaze me with your humor. Please keep it up. It makes my days. ♥

"This"

It's the same thing as responding as "Me Too" or "Ditto."

Example, someone posts something you agree with, and you respond to that with "This." as if to say "I agree with this."
